The PTCYBA has instituted a new program to help AAU and YBOA teams and players. It is called the Advanced Program and enables teams to use the school facilities for practices. These AAU/YBOA teams have to join the PTCYBA (as a team) and do what they normally would have to do as part of our association (eg. certifications, background checks, registration etc).

If a coach needs to be certified (and have been in the past), he/she can go online at www.nays.org, click on "Coaches" and then "Continuing Membership". If they haven't been certified in the past, they can call Cajen at the Kedron Field House (770-630-2525) and go watch a short video, pay him, and get certified there.

If a coach was certified for our regular PTCYBA season, it does not have to be done again. This also is true for the Background Check form.

The money that we get from registration fees from the teams will be used for a variety of things, including donations to the school basketball programs.

The PTCYBA's goal is to give all AAU/YBOA teams in PTC a chance to practice and therefore improve the basketball skills of our players and improve the programs at our schools.

This program is NOT for individual players and the PTCYBA is NOT starting an AAU program where we form teams. That is always a future possibility, but, for now, this program is ONLY for AAU and YBOA teams that have already formed.
