|
In 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th-12th, there is a
substitution time-out at the mid-point of each

|
when the timeout is called by the clock operator or
referee, every player on the bench MUST go into the
game. |
|
If a team starts and finishes the game with more
than 5 players, NO player can play the entire game. |
|
If player fouls out, he must be replaced with player
with least amount of playing time; this does NOT
apply to overtime. |
|
Violation of the above rules must be brought to the
official's attention during
game: penalty is 2 foul shots, ball possession &
player substitution |
|
To accurately monitor playing time, scorekeepers
must log playing time in scorebook (except 1st/2nd) |
|
Player must play the entire period/1/2 quarter
unless injured -- injured player counted as having
played entire period regardless of time remaining. |
|
Tournament |
1st graders get participation trophies. For others,
end of season tourney decides trophies (4),
not
regular season. |
|
OTHER |

bench with players. Only the Head coach may stand
during the game. |
|
5 min. warm-up prior to game; 1 min. between

jersey. |
|
In 1st Grade, there is no 3-second rule in the lane
and score is not kept.
1st graders may cross free-throw line after shooting
free throw. |
|
In 1st grade fouls aren't kept and ball can't be
stolen when player has possession. In 2nd grade,
score is kept & scorebooks are used. |
|
In leagues where defense is the 3-pt. Line, all
baskets are 2-pts and the offense must penetrate
3-pt line every 10 secs. |
|
Home team wears light-colored jerseys, supplies the
ball and keeps the scorebook. Away team wears dark
uniforms and keeps the clock. |
